* Until 515 PM CDT.

* At 423 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from Alburnett to Mount Vernon to near West Branch,
  moving east at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Anamosa, Tipton, West Branch, Durant,
  Mechanicsville, Stanwood, Marion, Coralville, Hiawatha, Mount
  Vernon, Monticello, West Liberty, Robins, Wilton, Cascade, Lisbon,
  Solon, and Walcott.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 243 and 285.
 Interstate 380 between mile markers 30 and 31.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for southeastern,
northeastern and east central Iowa.
