* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Rutland County in southern Vermont...
  Southwestern Windsor County in southern Vermont...

* Until 500 AM EDT.

* At 421 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over East
  Wallingford, moving southeast at 60 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind 
           damage to trees and powerlines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Chester, Mount Holly, Ludlow, Baltimore, Andover, Ludlow Village,
  Springfield, Mt. Holly, Cavendish, Weston, Shrewsbury,
  Weathersfield, Whitesville, Belmont, West Springfield, North
  Chester, North Springfield, Simonsville, Proctorsville, and
  Gassetts.

This includes Interstate 91 between mile markers 40 and 45.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
