The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Elbert County in east central Colorado...

* Until 600 PM MDT.

* At 514 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles west of
  Agate, or 24 miles northwest of Limon, moving east at 25 mph.

  THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR AGATE AND PORTIONS OF I-70 IN
  ELBERT COUNTY.

  HAZARD...Baseball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
           Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs,
           siding, and vehicles.

* Locations impacted include...
  Agate.

This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 335 and 346.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter now inside an interior room on the lowest floor of a
well-built structure. This storm is capable of producing destructive
hail and damaging winds.

This storm is capable of producing all types of severe weather
including extremely large hail, destructive straight line winds, and
tornadoes. Move quickly to a safe shelter such as an interior room, a
bathroom, closet or basement.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT Monday for a
portion of east central Colorado.
