The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northwestern Doniphan County in northeastern Kansas...
  Holt County in northwestern Missouri...

* Until 815 PM CDT.

* At 714 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 8 miles southwest of Fairfax to near Reserve, moving
  northeast at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable 
           tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, 
           roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Mound City, Oregon, Maitland, Forest City, Craig, White Cloud, Big
  Lake, Fortescue, Bigelow, Corning, Indian Cave State Park, Iowa
  Point, and Iowa Reservation of Kansas and Nebraska.

This includes Interstate 29 between mile markers 71 and 98.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for northeastern
Kansas...and northwestern Missouri.
