The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  West central Callahan County in west central Texas...
  Southeastern Nolan County in west central Texas...
  Taylor County in west central Texas...
  Northwestern Runnels County in west central Texas...

* Until 830 PM CDT.

* At 754 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Camp Butman,
  or 8 miles southwest of Merkel, moving southeast at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will be near...
  Coronados Camp around 800 PM CDT.
  Buffalo Gap around 815 PM CDT.
  Tuscola around 820 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Lake
Abilene, Drasco, Camp Tonkawa, Pumphrey, Shep, Wilmeth, Camp Butman,
Kirby Lake, and Ovalo.

This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 264 and 283, and
between Mile Markers 291 and 293.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning 
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning 
is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear 
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement 
agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service 
office in San Angelo.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
