The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northeastern Madison County in south central Iowa...
  Southeastern Dallas County in central Iowa...

* Until 745 PM CDT.

* At 721 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near De Soto, or 9 miles north of Winterset, moving
  northeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  West Des Moines, De Soto, Van Meter, and Badger Creek State Park 
  around 725 PM CDT.
  Waukee around 730 PM CDT.
  Clive and Jordan Creek Town Center around 735 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Badger
Creek State Park.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 110 and 121.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

This cluster of thunderstorms is capable of producing tornadoes and
widespread significant wind damage. Do not wait to see or hear the
tornado. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest
floor of a building.
