The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southeastern St. Tammany Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
  Southwestern Hancock County in southern Mississippi...

* Until 1045 PM CDT.

* At 1014 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing both
  tornadoes and straight line wind damage were located over Pearl
  River, or near Slidell, moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Slidell and Pearlington around 1020 PM CDT.

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 266 and 273.
 Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 8.
 Interstate 12 between mile markers 82 and 84.
 Interstate 59 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 5.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

This cluster of thunderstorms is capable of producing tornadoes and
widespread significant wind damage. Do not wait to see or hear the
tornado. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest
floor of a building.
