...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM CDT
FOR OGLE AND WINNEBAGO COUNTIES...

At 655 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Lake Summerset to German Valley to near Polo, moving
east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Rockford, Loves Park, Machesney Park, Roscoe, Rochelle, South Beloit,
Rockton, Byron, Oregon, Mount Morris, Polo, Rockford Airport, Cherry
Valley, Winnebago, Davis Junction, Pecatonica, Forreston, Durand,
Hillcrest, Stillman Valley, Lost Nation, New Milford, Creston,
Lindenwood, and Monroe Center.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for north central
Illinois.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

building.
