...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM CDT
FOR WHITESIDE...NORTHEASTERN HENRY...SOUTHEASTERN CARROLL AND
NORTHWESTERN BUREAU COUNTIES...

At 725 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Mount Morris to near Buda, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

These severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly rural areas of
Whiteside, northeastern Henry, southeastern Carroll and northwestern
Bureau Counties, including the following locations... Hitt, Portland
Corners, Carroll County Fairgrounds, Ideal, Spring Hill, Penrose,
Round Grove, Ustick, Malvern, and Como.

This includes Interstate 88 between mile markers 20 and 44.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for north central
and northwestern Illinois.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.
