...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM CDT
FOR EASTERN BENTON COUNTY...

At 535 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Newhall, or 9
miles southeast of Vinton, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Two inch hail.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect damage 
         to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles.

This severe storm will be near...
  Atkins, Shellsburg, Benton City Park, Hoefle-Dulin Park, and 
  Wildcat Bluff Park around 540 PM CDT.

This includes Interstate 380 between mile markers 40 and 44.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for northeastern
and east central Iowa.
