...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM CDT
FOR OGLE AND WINNEBAGO COUNTIES...

At 744 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Loves Park to near Cherry Valley to near Ashton,
moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable 
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, 
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Rockford, Loves Park, Machesney Park, Roscoe, Rochelle, South Beloit,
Rockton, Byron, Oregon, Mount Morris, Polo, Rockford Airport, Cherry
Valley, Winnebago, Davis Junction, Pecatonica, Forreston, Hillcrest,
Stillman Valley, Lost Nation, New Milford, Creston, Lindenwood,
Monroe Center, and Leaf River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for north central
Illinois.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
