FOR ROCK ISLAND...NORTHWESTERN MERCER...WEST CENTRAL LOUISA...
SOUTHEASTERN JACKSON...CEDAR...SCOTT...MUSCATINE AND CLINTON
COUNTIES...

At 949 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Hale to Big Rock to Shady Creek Campground,
moving east at 60 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Davenport, Moline, Rock Island, Bettendorf, Clinton, Muscatine, East
Moline, Tipton, Columbus Junction, Durant, Silvis, Eldridge, DeWitt,
Milan, Camanche, Le Claire, Coal Valley, West Liberty, Wilton, and
Hampton.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 74 in Iowa between mile markers 1 and 5.
 Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 256 and 306.
 Interstate 80 in Illinois between mile markers 1 and 5.
 Interstate 74 in Illinois between mile markers 1 and 7.
 Interstate 88 between mile markers 1 and 11.
 Interstate 280 between mile markers 1 and 18.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 PM CDT for northwestern
Illinois...and southeastern and east central Iowa.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
the Quad Cities.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
