...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN MCPHERSON...NORTHWESTERN HARVEY AND SOUTHWESTERN
MARION COUNTIES...

At 418 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Moundridge,
moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Mcpherson, Hesston, Hillsboro, Moundridge, Inman, Galva, Canton,
Goessel, Lehigh, and Mcpherson Airport.

This includes Interstate 135 between Mile Markers 41 and 66.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for south central
and central Kansas.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from
windows.
