...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 PM EDT
FOR SOUTH CENTRAL SHENANDOAH AND NORTHWESTERN PAGE COUNTIES...

At 551 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Mount Jackson,
or 12 miles southwest of Woodstock, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to 
         fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage 
         homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed 
         trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured 
         light objects may become projectiles.

Locations impacted include...
Luray, Mount Jackson, New Market, Hawkinstown, Kings Crossing,
Shenandoah Caverns, Forestville, Mount Clifton, Hamburg, and
Quicksburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for northwestern
Virginia.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Sterling Virginia.
