...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM CDT
FOR FRANKLIN AND WEST CENTRAL LAWRENCE COUNTIES...

At 1102 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Littleville to 6 miles northwest of Hackleburg,
moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Russellville, Phil Campbell, Littleville, Belgreen, Vina, Hodges,
Cedar Creek Reservoir, Atwood, Tharptown, and Duketon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for north central
and northwestern Alabama.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
