...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM EDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN CLINTON AND NORTHEASTERN FRANKLIN COUNTIES...

At 636 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Brandon, moving
east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated. At 552 PM a tree was reported down on 
         County Route 1 near Bombay, New York.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind 
         damage to trees and powerlines.

Locations impacted include...
Malone Village, Burke Village, Chateaugay Village, Franklin, Malone,
Chateaugay, Bellmont, Constable, Burke, Brighton, Clinton, Duane,
Ellenburg, Santa Clara, Dannemora, Saranac, Earlville, Churubusco,
Debar Mountain, and Bryants Mill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Burlington.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
