...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST
FOR EAST CENTRAL WEST BATON ROUGE...ST. HELENA...NORTHERN
LIVINGSTON...EAST FELICIANA...NORTHERN EAST BATON ROUGE PARISHES IN
SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA AND AMITE COUNTIES...

At 1128 PM CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Smithdale to 6 miles east of Felps to near
Clinton to near Pride, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Baton Rouge, Zachary, Baker, Denham Springs, Jackson, Clinton,
Liberty, Greensburg, Walker, Livingston, Albany, Slaughter, Gloster,
Wilson, Montpelier, Smithdale, Central, Watson, Darlington, and
Pride.

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 12 between mile markers 21 and 34.
 Interstate 110 in Louisiana between mile markers 5 and 8.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CST for southeastern
Louisiana...and southern Mississippi. A Tornado Watch also remains in
effect until 500 AM CST for southeastern Louisiana.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
