...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 PM CDT
FOR CARROLL...SOUTHEASTERN JACKSON AND NORTHEASTERN CLINTON
COUNTIES...

At 530 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Thomson
Causeway, or 9 miles northeast of Clinton, moving northeast at 45 
mph. Additional severe thunderstorms are moving in from the west, 
some with embedded rotation.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Clinton, Mount Carroll, Savanna, Lanark, Shannon, Sabula, Miles,
Andover, Argo Fay, Thomson, Goose Lake, Bryant, Mississippi Palisades
State Park, Wacker, Bulgers Hollow, Teeds Grove, Center Hill, Elvira,
South Sabula Lake Park, and Camp Miss-Elk-Ton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for northwestern
Illinois...and east central Iowa.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
