FOR ST. HELENA...NORTHERN LIVINGSTON...EASTERN EAST FELICIANA...
NORTHEASTERN EAST BATON ROUGE PARISHES IN SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA AND
SOUTHEASTERN AMITE COUNTIES...

At 1150 PM CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Summit to near Gillsburg to near Darlington to 8
miles northwest of Montpelier, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Denham Springs, Greensburg, Walker, Livingston, Albany, Montpelier,
Central, Watson, Darlington, Pride, Greenwell Spring, Gillsburg,
Easleyville, and Merrydale.

This includes Interstate 12 between mile markers 24 and 34.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CST for southeastern
Louisiana...and southern Mississippi. A Tornado Watch also remains in
effect until 500 AM CST for southeastern Louisiana.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
