CLARKE...NORTH CENTRAL FAUQUIER...NORTHERN CULPEPER AND WEST CENTRAL
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTIES...

At 1058 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles north of Delaplane to near The Plains to near
Bealeton, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to 
         fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage 
         homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed 
         trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured 
         light objects may become projectiles.

Locations impacted include...
Warrenton, Middleburg, The Plains, Delaplane, Gainesville, New
Baltimore, Marshall, Boyce, Broken Hill, Rectortown, Briggs,
Turnbull, Meadowville, Halfway, Millwood, Upperville, Airlie, Broad
Run, Ashville, and Paris.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM EDT for northern and
northwestern Virginia.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
