...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT FOR
EAST CENTRAL CLINTON AND WASHINGTON COUNTIES IN SOUTH CENTRAL
ILLINOIS...

At 846 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 5
miles south of Salem to 11 miles south of Nashville, moving east at
50 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
  New Minden, Nashville, Oakdale, Cordes, Hoyleton, Huegely, Wamac,
  Beaucoup, Irvington, Posen, Richview, Ashley, Radom and Du Bois.

This includes Interstate 64 in Illinois between exits 50 and 61.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing
widespread damaging winds and large hail.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
