...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN FRANKLIN...SOUTHERN JEFFERSON...SOUTHEASTERN
SHAWNEE...EAST CENTRAL WABAUNSEE...DOUGLAS AND NORTHERN OSAGE
COUNTIES...

At 747 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 5 miles north of Harveyville to Perry to near
Winchester, moving southeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Fire Department. At 7:45 PM, fire chief reported 60-70 MPH 
         winds 1 mile west of Perry.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable 
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, 
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Topeka, Lawrence, Baldwin City, Carbondale, Oskaloosa, Tecumseh,
Eudora, Richland, Auburn, Overbrook, Lyndon, Centropolis, Burlingame,
Perry, McLouth, Scranton, Lecompton, Clinton, Lone Star, and
Harveyville.

This includes Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 156 and 205.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for northeastern
and east central Kansas.
