...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 AM CDT
FOR TRAVERSE...BIG STONE...EASTERN ROBERTS AND NORTHEASTERN GRANT
COUNTIES...

At 136 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Foxhome to near Tintah to 7 miles east of Wheaton
to near Chokio to near Artichoke, moving northeast at 60 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile 
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Ortonville, Wheaton, Graceville, Big Stone City, Clinton, Rosholt,
Beardsley, Odessa, Dumont, Artichoke, Tintah, Correll, Johnson,
Barry, Siloah Country Church, Yankeetown, Mud Lake Landing, Traverse
Country Park, Lagoona Beach, and Trinity Lutheran Country Church.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing widespread 
wind damage across west central Minnesota. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a 
sturdy structure and stay away from windows.
 
To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Aberdeen.

Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread
significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately
likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of
a building. These storms may cause serious injury and significant
property damage.
